Koh Lat E Than is located in the Sam Phran District and is characterized by flat land shaped like a pig's stomach, which was formed by the excavation of a canal. The mouth of the canal lies between the villages of Songkhanong and Hom Kret, just north of Wat Songkhanong, flowing through to the other side of the Tha Chin River. This area where the canal intersects has become known as “Koh Lat E Than.” The region comprises three sub-districts: Rai Khing, Bang Toey, and Songkhanong. The land here is rich and fertile, with abundant water sources, making it ideal for cultivating fruit orchards, particularly the renowned pomelo, which is famous for its excellent taste.
