Located within the Koomueang Arboretum, this site is believed to have been an ancient community during the Dvaravati period. It features a large earthen mound surrounded by a moat. Excavations have uncovered numerous pottery artifacts, including bowls, jars, large vessels, stone beads, terracotta figures, greenstone dharma wheels, earrings, colored stone beads, and silver coins inscribed with the phrase “Sritavara Dhipunya.” These findings indicate that a community thrived in this area continuously from the Funan period through to the Rattanakosin era. Today, the ancient artifacts discovered here are preserved at the National Museum of Inburi. The area of the ancient city of Koomueang has been transformed into an arboretum, covering approximately 500 acres. It is surrounded by ancient moats and boasts a diverse array of lush and beautiful plant species.
