Baan Phra Phitak Chin Pracha was built in 1903 by Phra Phitak Chin Pracha (Tandhawanit). He constructed two houses on the same grounds, covering an area of approximately 20 rai. The first house, Chin Pracha House, is the first Sino-Portuguese style house in Phuket, followed by the later construction of Baan Phra Phitak Chin Pracha. Today, Chin Pracha House operates as a museum showcasing the "Tandhawanit" family history and serves as a residence for their descendants. Meanwhile, Baan Phra Phitak Chin Pracha has been transformed into a restaurant named Blue Elephant Phuket.
