The museum showcases art, artifacts, and antiquities from the Sukhothai period, dating back several centuries. The ancient artworks displayed at the National Museum Ramkhamhaeng are primarily from the Sukhothai era, collected from excavations and restorations of historical sites in the ancient city of Sukhothai since 1953. Some pieces were obtained from nearby areas such as Si Satchanalai, Kamphaeng Phet, Phetchabun, and Phichit. Additionally, another portion was contributed by Phra Rajaphasithak, the former abbot of Wat Ratchathani and the provincial chief monk of Sukhothai, as well as donations from local residents. The exhibited artifacts include Sukhothai inscriptions, ceramics, various forms of Buddha statues, amulets from archaeological sites, deity sculptures, and ancient weapons.
