Wat Thawon Wararam (Khan Tho Tue), or what the villagers call shortly "Wat Yuan", is a Buddhist temple of the Annam sect of Mahayana sect. and is named according to the Vietnamese language "Crush Taw Tue" which translates into Thai as "Staying permanently" and the name of this permanent wararam temple His Majesty King Chulalongkorn, Rama V, bestowed the name As for the construction of the temple, it took place in the reign of King Rama III and was considered the first Vietnamese temple in Kanchanaburi Province that was over a hundred years old. The construction was initiated by a Vietnamese family who respected Buddhism. (The Vietnamese who migrated after the war between Thailand and Vietnam during the reign of King Rama III) donated funds to build a temple around 1834.
