Located near Wat Ratchaburana, to the east, this temple is significant among amulet enthusiasts. It is home to one of the most revered amulets known as "Phra Nang Phaya," which gained prominence after the discovery of the first batch of amulets in 1901 and again in 1954. Phra Nang Phaya is renowned for its sacredness and is particularly famous for its powers of compassion and popularity, especially among women in leadership roles managing numerous subordinates. It is believed that possessing a Phra Nang Phaya amulet instills a sense of respect among the subordinates, making them feel as if they are in the presence of a queen. Today, these amulets have become exceedingly rare. As for the architecture of Wat Nang Phaya, it is thought to belong to the same era as Wat Ratchaburana, but it differs in that Wat Nang Phaya lacks an ubosot, featuring only a vihara. Furthermore, my blog explores the charming cafes and restaurants in Phitsanulok, taking you on a food adventure through the historic eateries around the clock tower. The city is a fantastic travel destination where you can capture stunning photographs in the Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park and visit ancient temples in the two rivers area.
