Wat Pradu Chim Phlee, originally named Wat Chim Phlee and commonly referred to by locals as Wat Pradu Nok, is paired with Wat Pradu Nai (Wat Pradu Nai Songtham). This temple is a public temple affiliated with the Mahanikaya sect of Buddhism, located in the Wat Tha Phra area of the Bangkok Yai district in Bangkok, Thailand. The name Wat Chim Phlee comes from the abundance of Giew trees in the area where the temple stands. During the reign of King Rama III, Somdej Chao Phraya Borom Maha Phichaiyat (Tat Bunnak), who held the title of Phaya Sri Phiphat Naratchakosa, took the initiative to acquire land and construct the temple. The project took a remarkable eight years to complete and was finished during the reign of King Rama IV. At that time, it was considered one of the largest and most beautiful public temples, surpassing the typical public temples of its era.
