Wat Pak Nam Cho Lo is a beautiful temple renowned for its golden-hued architecture, evident in nearly every building. The main hall stands out with its stunning design. Situated beside the Bang Pakong River, the temple benefits from a refreshing breeze that flows throughout the day. Originally, Wat Pak Nam Cho Lo was a monastic site dating back to the late Ayutthaya period. In front of the temple, a canal flows into the Bang Pakong River, and the site has a history of approximately 200 years. This area was once a battleground for Burmese forces, both land and naval, who fought and were ultimately defeated by the army of King Taksin the Great. In honor of this victory, King Taksin commissioned the construction of a stupa as a memorial at this site. This stupa was located at the memorial site for King Taksin but was washed away due to erosion. Since 1948, the Fine Arts Department has rebuilt it on the original site. Surrounding the main hall, the golden columns feature beautifully crafted plaster moldings of giants, with each column showcasing one giant, except for the corner columns, which each have two. Although molded, the intricate details of the designs are quite impressive. The eight golden archways adorned with decorative motifs serve as the backdrop for the temple's main altar, and the staircase is uniquely flanked by two mythical creatures, which are a signature of Wat Pak Nam Cho Lo.
