Wat Phra That Sop Waen

Pisan Road, Yuan Subdistrict, Chiang Kham District.

The significance of Wat Phra That Sop Van lies in its status as the home of an ancient chedi, believed to be around 800 years old. Within the chedi, there are relics including strands of the Buddha's hair and a piece of his jawbone. Despite undergoing numerous restorations over the years, the chedi has remarkably retained its artistic integrity in the Lanna Thai style. Furthermore, the area serves as a cultural integration center for the Tai Lue community, making it a vibrant hub of local heritage. Additionally, visitors must make a point to admire the stunning umbrella-shaped rain tree located on the premises, which is truly a sight to behold.
