Wat Lum Khongkaram was established during the Ayutthaya period on April 4, 1681. The temple is located in a village that sits on a low-lying area by the banks of the Chao Phraya River, which is how it came to be named Wat Lum Khongkaram, reflecting the local geography. The temple complex features traditional Thai architecture, including the main ordination hall (ubosot), which exemplifies Thai style. The monks’ quarters were constructed in 1971, showcasing wooden Thai architecture. The assembly hall (sala) was built in 1958. Inside the temple, the main Buddha statue resides in the ubosot, with a reclining Buddha statue (Phra Siha Sayana) found in the hall. Additionally, there are three stupas and one prang, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of this sacred site.
