Laan Ek Coffee House A new café located in a historic Sino-Portuguese building that is over 109 years old, known as the Khee Phong Building, which is the first commercial structure in Rayong. It was built by Mr. Khee Phong Sae Tan, a Chinese immigrant who settled in Rayong to conduct business. This building was later passed down to the descendants of Mr. Ek Phaniawthong. The name of the café, "Laan Ek," reflects the collaboration among the grandchildren of Mr. Ek Phaniawthong, who are eager to present the lifestyle, culture, and ambiance of the old town of Rayong. They aim to allow future generations and tourists to experience this through the artworks displayed in the art gallery on the second floor, as well as through the café’s diverse menu, which features local ingredients transformed into desserts and beverages that blend Western, Chinese, and Thai cultures together. This reflects the rich diversity of the community's history. Notably, the café also offers a rotating signature menu each month, providing a unique experience every time you visit.
