The Memorial Stupa of King Taksin the Great is located at the mouth of Jo Lo River (Klong Tha Lad) in Pak Nam Subdistrict. After King Taksin broke through the Burmese siege and escaped from Ayutthaya, he marched through Nakhon Nayok and Prachinburi, eventually confronting the Burmese forces at Jo Lo. Thanks to his brilliant leadership, King Taksin achieved victory against an overwhelming enemy and made a temporary camp in this area. To commemorate his victory in battle, he built a stupa. However, the site was later eroded by the currents, causing the stupa to collapse around 1948. Eventually, a new stupa was erected on the original site. Visitors can come to pay their respects at this memorial or relax by the riverside, where they can enjoy the scenic views of the nearby Lad Island across the river.
