Khao Khitchakood National Park is located in the area of Khao Khitchakood or Khao Phra Bat, encompassing the districts of Makham and Khao Khitchakood in Chanthaburi Province. This scenic park features mountains with breathtaking views, with its highest peak reaching 1,000 meters. It boasts beautiful natural wonders such as the Kating Waterfall and geological phenomena related to Buddhist legends. - For those who prefer to avoid crowds and long waits for transportation, it is recommended to arrive early, especially during the park's opening period in the first month. Avoid public holidays and opt for a visit on weekdays. - Parking is available within the parking lot of Wat Pluang, accommodating thousands of vehicles, with staff present to ensure safety and proper management at all times. - Overnight lodging is available at the temple, which provides pillows, though bringing your own is advisable for added comfort. - The shuttle service to Phra Bat Pluang starts right in front of Wat Pluang, operated by the monks from Chanthaburi Province. There are over a hundred vehicles available 24 hours a day. The fare is 200 baht per person (100 baht each for the ascent and descent), and children under 12 years old are free of charge. Khao Khitchakood National Park does not permit any pets into the park and prohibits travelers from staying or setting up tents at the peak. It's advised to check with the temple before heading to Pak Daeng (the Red Fabric area) for the best guidance. Thank you for the information from the Wat Pluang page.
