The history of this Chedi Hall (Wat Jaturamuk) reveals that its original roof design was not as graceful as envisioned. Upon completion of the roof structure, it appeared less elegant than typical Lanna-style temples. Thus, we decided to dismantle it and make the necessary adjustments to achieve the best possible outcome. We sought existing temple designs with a similar aesthetic direction and discovered a roof design from Wat Phlong Sanuk in Lampang Province, which we adapted into the original framework to optimize its appearance while minimizing time and costs. Today, the structure stands as you see it, featuring a central open pavilion that houses four Buddha images, each facing one of the cardinal directions. The roof consists of three overlapping tiers, supported by 28 cylindrical pillars, each adorned with intricate gold patterns that reinforce the hall and its roof. This architecture reflects the unique Lanna style, which is still a work in progress. Future enhancements will include additional intricate artistic details to further elevate its beauty.
