Brief History
ชื่อของจังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ เมื่อสมัยก่อนน่าจะชื่อว่าเมือง "เพชบุระ" ตามที่ปรากฏในจารึกลานทองคำ ที่พบจากเจดีย์ทรงพุ่มข้าวบิณฑ์ วัดมหาธาตุ ซึ่งหมายถึงเมืองแห่งพืชพันธุ์ธัญญาหาร แต่ในระยะหลังต่อมาได้เพื้ยนหรือเปลี่ยนเป็นชื่อ "เพชรบูรณ์" กลายความหมายเป็นเมืองที่อุดมด้วยเพชร
