Wat Phra That Hariphunchai is an important religious site in northern Thailand, a sacred landmark that has been associated with the city of Lamphun for over a thousand years. Located in the heart of Lamphun, it is just about 150 meters from the provincial hall and is surrounded by roads on all four sides: Atharas Road to the north, Chaimongkol Road to the south, and the city wall road to the east. Additionally, it is considered the birthplace of the auspicious year for those born in the year of the rooster.

The Phra Boromathat Hariphunchai houses sacred relics, including a lock of hair from the Buddha, which is enshrined in a golden casket located within the stupa. The stupa features a lotus base styled with a bulbous lotus petal, transitioning into three circular tiers that support the bell-shaped structure. The structure stands at a height of 25 "wa" (a traditional Thai measurement unit) and has a width of 12 "wa" and 1 "khu" (1 "khu" = 1 inch). It is adorned with a "satti-banchan" (iron and brass railing) consisting of two layers, with golden vessels placed at the outer railing on both the north and south sides.

The stupa is embellished with guardian angel niches and umbrellas at each of the four corners, along with a tower on each side, totaling four towers, each housing a seated Buddha statue. Additionally, there are lanterns and altars installed for the general public to pay their respects, making it a significant center for Buddhist worship.

Doi Inthanon, the tallest mountain in Thailand, soars high into the sky as the number one peak in the country. Despite being the highest point, it is easily accessible for travelers, with minimal restrictions on movement. During this winter season, the area is shrouded in thick fog, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The surrounding flower fields are stunning. The Phra Mahathat Nopphamatanee in Doi Inthanon has a 12-sided base with glass corridors on two levels, serving as the resting place for sacred relics.

This magnificent structure was built by the Royal Thai Air Force in collaboration with the people of Thailand, dedicated to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the ninth monarch of the Chakri dynasty, in honor of his 60th birthday celebration in 1987.

Mae Klang Waterfall is a large waterfall that flows throughout the year, featuring several large pools ideal for swimming. However, during the rainy season, the current can be strong and potentially dangerous for swimming. This magnificent waterfall is located to the east of the national park, approximately 8 kilometers from the Chiang Mai-Doi Inthanon Road, just before the entrance checkpoint of the national park. After turning left and driving about 1 kilometer, you'll reach Mae Klang Waterfall. Visitors can take a scenic trail that leads to the Tourist Information Center, which is situated about 400 meters from the waterfall, passing by traditional fishing sites and beautiful rock paintings along the way.

Huay Kaew Restaurant, located at the base of Doi Suthep, can be found by turning left at the Kru Ba Srivichai Monument. After driving for five meters, take another left into the parking area in front of the restaurant. The place has a somewhat hidden charm, and as you walk in, you're greeted by a stunning view of lush greenery along with a waterfall on your right. We chose to sit on the terrace, despite the slight heat of the sun, just to be closer to the sound and beauty of the waterfall.

Pang Ung is often referred to as the Switzerland of Thailand, located on the Thai-Myanmar border in Mae Hong Son Province. This area features a tranquil water basin that resembles a lake, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere—truly an outstanding experience that makes the journey worthwhile. There are tents available for rent at a reasonable price of around 400-500 baht.

Additionally, Pang Ung is among the top tourist destinations in Mae Hong Son, attracting visitors who seek its romantic ambiance in virtually every corner. The towering pines surrounding the area and the clean, expansive waters create a soothing sight. In the morning, the fresh and pure air invigorates the senses. You can also find numerous black and white swans, which are cared for by the project, happily swimming and playing in the water.

This warm and inviting village is located in Moo 6, Mok Jam Pair Subdistrict, Mueang Mae Hong Son District. Originally named "Ban Mae Or," it is a community of Yunnan Chinese descendants, whose ancestors were soldiers of the 93rd Division who migrated from southern China many decades ago. Today, they live harmoniously alongside their brothers and sisters from the Shan ethnic group and other hill tribes in the area.

Ying Yong Flower Garden offers camping services and photo opportunities. 

About 500 meters before reaching the garden, the road is narrow and steep. If any customers find it inconvenient to drive up, they can park their vehicles at the Nong Hoi Mai Child Development Center and call the garden’s shuttle service for a pickup at (061-318-7181). (There is a round-trip transportation fee of 50 baht per person, not including the entrance fee to the garden.) 

The maintenance fee for the garden is 50 baht for adults and 30 baht for children. (👼🏻 Children aged 10 and under, as well as toddlers aged 3 and under, can enter for free.)
