The Sanctuary of Truth Museum is an impressive wooden castle that stands over 100 meters tall, showcasing exquisite Thai architecture with a contemporary twist. Constructed without the use of a single nail, it's built from sturdy hardwoods that can bear significant weight, including golden teak, padauk, redwood, and thitpong.

This architectural marvel was created during the reign of King Rama IX and seeks to break away from traditional Thai architectural confines by embracing ancient construction techniques. Joinery methods such as mortise and tenon, wooden pegs, and dovetail joints have been expertly applied in its creation.

The museum's primary concept is to present the beliefs, faiths, religions, philosophies, ethics, and the admirable cultures of East Asian people. At the heart of this magnificent structure lies the central hall, home to the grand Buddha Vihara. This intricately carved wooden masterpiece symbolizes the emptiness of the universe or Nirvana, providing visitors with a profound insight into the spiritual and cultural heritage that it represents.

真理宫博物馆是一座大型的木雕寺庙，呈泰式四角形，超过100米高。建筑使用了坚固的木材，能够承受重量，例如金塔基榕木、红木、沉香木、橡胶木和铁木。这座现代泰国建筑是在九世王统治时期建造的，设计上脱离了传统泰国建筑的框架，但仍遵循了古老的建造技艺，例如通过榫卯、钉子、楔形和燕尾接合，而完全不用钉子。

กรมศิลปากรยืนยันว่า เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของการเผยแพร่พระพุทธศาสนาในดินแดนสุวรรณภูมิ และหลักฐานทางโบราณคดีที่มีข้อพิสูจน์ว่า พระเจ้าอโศกมหาราชแห่งอินเดีย พระองค์ส่งพระธรรมทูตออกเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนา 9 สาย สายที่ 8 ส่งทรงพระโสณะและพระอุตตรเถระ เข้ามาดินแดนสุวรรณภูมิเมื่อต้นพุทธศตวรรษที่ 3 ซึ่งปรากฏร่องรอยพระพุทธศาสนาในอู่ทอง พระเจ้าอโศกยังสร้างวัดวาอารามไว้มากมาย อย่างวัดปุษยคีรีสังฆาราม ในแคว้นกลิงคะ เป็นต้น พอดีชื่อมาพ้องกับจารึก “ปุษยคีรี” ดังหลักฐานจารึกศิลา "ปุษยคีรี" และธรรมจักรบนยอดเสาอโศก ที่บริเวณภูเขาใกล้กับ วัดเขาทำเทียม ใกล้ๆกับที่สลักพระ อาจเป็นได้ว่าชื่อจารึกมาจากพระธรรมทูตทั้งสองนำชื่อบ้านนามเมืองของท่านมาสลักไว้ก็อาจเป็นได้

The world's largest carved Buddha statue, with a lap width of 65 meters and height of 84 meters, is named Somdet Phra Buddha Pusyakiri Sri Suvarnabhumi, or Luang Por U Thong in the meditation pose; it represents U-Thong art style.

The Fine Arts Department confirms that this site marks the beginning of the spread of Buddhism in the Suvarnabhumi region. Archaeological evidence shows that Emperor Ashoka of India sent out nine missionary streams to propagate Buddhism, with the eighth stream, led by Phra Sona and Phra Uttara, arriving in the Suvarnabhumi region in the early 3rd century AD. This is where traces of Buddhism were found in U-Thong. Emperor Ashoka also constructed numerous monasteries, such as the Pusyakiri Sangharama in the Kalinga region.

Interestingly, the name echoes the inscription "Pusyakiri," as noted in the stone inscription "Pusyakiri" and the Dharma Wheel atop the Ashoka pillar near the Khao Tham Thian Mountain, close to the location of the Buddha carving. It is possible that the names in the inscriptions were brought by the two missionaries to honor their homeland.

泰国文化部艺术局确认，这里是佛教传播至黄金印地的起源地，并有考古证据证明，印度的阿育王曾在公元前3世纪派遣九位佛教徒到该地区传教。其中第八位派遣的是佛陀所那（Sona）和佛陀乌特拉（Uttara）进入黄金印地的初期。从此，在乌通地区出现了佛教的迹象。阿育王还在各地建立了许多寺庙，例如在卡林加地区的“普斯亚基里宗寺”。这种古老的名称与碑刻“普斯亚基里”相符合。在靠近“凯达山”的石柱顶端还有法轮，这些都可能表明这两个传教士将他们家乡的名字刻录在此。

The parking area at the bottom has ample space available. After parking, you will need to walk up some stairs to reach the stunning views above. The atmosphere feels reminiscent of a Thai temple styled in a Japanese manner, as if a piece of Japan has been brought to Suphanburi.
