Tha Pai is a serene little community located in the Mae Hi sub-district of Pai District, Mae Hong Son Province. It is promoted as an OTOP (One Tambon One Product) innovative tourism community by the Mae Hong Son Provincial Community Development Office. Among the interesting activities in the village is the 'Kok Nong Na Model Learning Center' at Akira Garden, which showcases agriculture following the royal ideals of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. Visitors can explore the historic Tha Pai Bridge, ride elephants through scenic nature, and enjoy rafting on the Pai River. There's also the opportunity to visit the Tha Pai hot springs and browse through OTOP products from the community, such as locally woven clothing, organic agricultural products, and processed goods like garlic, pickled bamboo shoots, sweet and sour tamarind, and mosquito repellent spray. For those looking to stay overnight, there are homestay accommodations available for tourists. For more information, you can contact Mr. Prayoon Pimpa, the village headman of Tha Pai, at 08 2185 7836.
