Phra Kru Samutkittiwat (Boonchob Sukwanno), the abbot of Wat Chong Lom, had a vision where Luang Pu Toh Bodhisattva appeared to him, instructing him to build a large statue. In this vision, Luang Pu Toh questioned why no one in Samut Songkhram province had constructed a significant statue for veneration. He promised that once the statue was built, he would ensure that those who respect and revere him would come to help complete the project swiftly. As a result, when construction began, an announcement was made asking the faithful—those who honor Luang Pu Toh—to join as co-sponsors. Each sponsor was asked to contribute 10,000 baht, in exchange for having their names engraved at the base of the statue or to donate according to their faith. Thousands of believers stepped forward as co-sponsors, and their names are inscribed on the granite stones surrounding the statue of Luang Pu Toh.
