Established in the year 1841, the original structures were built on sacred ground, located near the salty waters. Later, in 1946, it was moved to the current site by the freshwater banks. The temple was granted its boundary on June 23, 1971. Inside the second floor of the Phra Mahachedi Ratnamongkol, visitors will find a glass hall adorned with numerous statues of revered monks. At the center of the room, the Emerald Buddha shines, its brilliance reflecting off thousands of glass pieces that surround it.
