Wat Thong Na Prang was established in 1782 and is located in a low-lying area adjacent to a canal. In 1984, land was purchased to expand the temple grounds, totaling over three rai, where a monk's residence was constructed. In 1996, a protective levee was built around the temple to prevent flooding. In 2006, the temple received an award for outstanding environmental management. The main building, the ubosot, was completed in 1782 and is made of reinforced concrete in traditional Thai style. The assembly hall, built in 1940, features a wooden structure. The monks' residences are partially wooden and partially brick buildings. The meditation hall was erected in 2004, also using reinforced concrete. Among the sacred objects housed in the temple is the main Buddha statue in the ubosot, created in 1990, which represents the Buddha in the Maravijaya posture. Additionally, there is a seated Buddha statue in the sermon hall from the Chiang Saen period, established in 1986, a Buddha statue bestowing blessings, and a statue of a former abbot in the hall. Moreover, there is a chedi and the footprint of the Buddha, along with an outdoor Buddha statue.
