Wat Tha Khun or what locals in Thong Pha Phum refer to as Wat Luang Pu Sai was established in 1930. It covers an area of 59 rai, 2 ngan, and 30 square wah, making it one of the significant temples in Kanchanaburi Province. The highlight of this temple is the "Phra Buddha Jetiyakhiri," which majestically stands atop a high hill. Tourists must climb 1,237 steps to reach the peak where the stupa is located. On the opposite side of the temple, there are the footprints of Buddha, which have recently become a new attraction for Wat Tha Khun. To pay respects to the Buddha's footprints, visitors must ascend 1,173 steps. When you reach the top, you are greeted by a stunning viewpoint that provides panoramic views of Thong Pha Phum district, surrounded by lush natural scenery.
