Wat Pathum Wanaram is a temple located in the heart of the bustling city at Siam, perfectly situated amidst the crowded streets. The temple is nestled between large shopping centers like Central World and Siam Paragon, yet within its grounds, tranquility and serenity abound. Moreover, it is a forest temple of the Dhammayut tradition, where enlightened monks regularly give Dharma talks every month. This temple was established by King Rama IV in 1857, dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Thepsirinthra. Within the pagoda, one can find the revered Reclining Buddha statue and a replica of the Buddha’s footprint carved from marble.
