Wat Phra Ya Suren is a public temple affiliated with the Mahayana sect of Buddhism, located in the Sam Wa Tawan Ok district of Khlong Sam Wa, Bangkok. The current abbot is Phra Khru Palad Suwathanasutkhun (Sophon Sopha-no), who belongs to the Singhasenee lineage through his mother. Inside the main hall, you will find beautiful mural paintings. Beneath the ordination hall lies the Naga Cave, where visitors come to pay their respects and seek blessings from the Naga. At the entrance of the temple, there is a pavilion dedicated to Phu Yaa and Yaa Suen, as well as the pavilion of Phra Ya Suren and his wife, Princess Boonmee. Additionally, there is a statue of Luang Por Toad (Stepping on Freshwater) that is honored by worshippers. The temple also houses sacred relics, including five Buddha relics that were brought from Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Myanmar, and Thailand. Within the temple grounds, there is a learning center museum dedicated to Wat Phra Ya Suren, complete with a library. Close to the temple, visitors can also explore the Phra Ya Floating Market, or the Wat Phra Ya Suren Floating Market.
