Wat Sanamchai, Ang Thong

Talad Luang Subdistrict, Mueang Ang Thong District.

Wat Sanam Chai, located in Talat Luang Sub-district, Mueang District, Ang Thong Province, is particularly renowned for the area in front of the main hall housing the revered Luang Por Pierm statue. Locals flock to pay their respects and seek good fortune from the majestic statue of Taewasuwann, which stands an impressive 9 elbows tall, or over 4 meters, beautifully adorned with mirrors all around. This statue is surrounded by four accompanying figures, further enhancing the spiritual ambiance. They come bearing offerings of red roses, flowers, incense, and candles, seeking the blessings of Taewasuwann. Visitors often light incense and set off firecrackers, hoping for good luck and fortune in return.
