Wat San Mueang Ma It comes from the name of Mang Village in Xishuangbanna, China. The temple was built in the style of Tai Lue art. The signs in the temple area are both Thai and Chinese. Because there are Tai Lue people traveling to and from Thailand and Xishuangbanna. It is assumed that it was built in the early Rattanakosin period. The thatched roof is very beautiful. It is a Tai Lue art. The gable is a carved wooden statue of Thep Nam. on the floor, beautifully carved The entrance stairway is a serpent shape. The door beside the entrance has a pair of lion statues guarding the door. The murals inside the sanctuary are handcrafted by local artisans. Tells about the way of life of the Tai Lue people, the ordination of monks, making merit, and playing Songkran water. Rural way of life and traditions There is also a flag (Tung) hung, believed to be a dedication to the deceased as a stairway to heaven. The Tai Lue people originally settled in Xishuangbanna. have come to visit with the Lanna people for a long time similar cultures and languages The Tai Lue people often live along the river in the northern region, namely Nan, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lampang, Lamphun and Phayao. At Chiang Kham District and other districts, a Tai Lue Cultural Center was established at Wat Yuan. It is about 500 meters north of Wat San Mueang. Inside the Cultural Center, there is a complete and detailed display of the history of the Tai Lue people. Wat San Mueang Ma is located at Ban Mang, Yuan Sub-district, Chiang Kham District, near the Chiang Kham Bus Terminal. It is one temple that should not be missed when arriving in Chiang Kham.
