One of the delightful public parks located in the heart of the bustling city was established to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's fifth cycle birthday on August 12, 1992. The park is filled with many areas to relax and unwind, including the uniquely shaped "S" and "S" ponds, which represent the first letters of Her Majesty's name in both English and Thai. Along the edges of the ponds, vibrant plants were strategically chosen to highlight the "S" shape with the yellow hues of the Cassia flowers, while the "S" is accentuated by the pinkish-purple of the water lilies. Within the park lies a lush "Botanical Garden" filled with a variety of flora, both local and international. Adjacent to this is the "Lotus Garden," a spacious area that offers a refreshing atmosphere where visitors can sit and enjoy the cool breeze. This area features several ponds with different varieties of lotus, adorned with ancient ceramic pots, along with a European garden, a garden of auspicious plants gifted by the monarchy, and a garden dedicated to plant species associated with the royal institution. Another must-visit spot for families is the "Bangkok Children's Museum," a creative learning space for children to engage in fun and imaginative activities. It is located on Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road in the Chatuchak district, positioned conveniently between Vachirabenjatas Park (the "Train Park") and Chatuchak Park. The museum welcomes visitors daily from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Public transportation is available via bus routes 77, 122, 136, and 145. Additionally, there are exciting blogs featuring explorations of the Sathorn area, a hub of religious and cultural significance, inviting visitors to breathe in the fresh air atop the trees at "Forest in the City." In Bangkok, you can also discover vibrant wall art in the Charoen Krung area, visit national memorials, and engage with museums dedicated to military history as a place of remembrance for those who sacrificed for the nation.
