The Khao Chong Krachok is a symbol of Prachuap Khiri Khan, a city brimming with unique charm. It is one of the best viewpoints in the area, offering stunning vistas of the town. The journey to the summit involves ascending a concrete staircase composed of 396 steps, and along the way, visitors are often greeted by playful macaques that enjoy teasing tourists. Khao Chong Krachok is a modest mountain, standing 245 meters above sea level, located by the Prachuap Bay near Wat Thammikaram Worawihan. At the peak, there is an opening that resembles a picture frame. The ascent comprises a concrete staircase consisting of 396 steps. In 1954, Phra Thep Sutthimoli (Luang Por Pin), the former abbot of Wat Thammikaram Worawihan, was entrusted with the care of Khao Chong Krachok by the province, ensuring its preservation under the temple's management.
