Ubolratana Dam is the second multipurpose dam in Thailand, built after the Bhumibol Dam. It is the first hydropower dam in the northeastern region of the country. Located in Ubolratana sub-district, Ubolratana district, Khon Kaen province, and in Non Sang sub-district, Non Sang district, Nong Bua Lamphu province, this dam not only plays a crucial role in energy production but also supports agricultural irrigation and flood control in the area.
