Khum Chao Rachabut

Khum Chao Rachabut

In the city of Wiang, Nan.

Built in 1866, this two-story teakwood house served as the wedding hall for Prince Mahaprom of Nan (Prince Mahaprom Surathada) and Princess Sri Sopha. Upon being inaugurated as the 64th ruler of Nan, he gifted this residence to his son, Prince Rajabhat (Prince Mok Fah of Nan). Today, the Rajabhat residence is owned by Chao Sompratana and Chao Wasana of Nan, who have permitted it to serve as a historical learning center on the rulers of Nan and the traditional lifestyle of the people of Nan in the past. Inside, there are displays of ancient artifacts, old historical photographs, and various types of ancient plants. Those interested can contact at 08 9670 4291 (advance notice is required).
