Rajabhat Rajanakarindra University was originally the site of a male agricultural teacher training school. When this school relocated to Prachinburi province, the government undertook renovations to expand the existing facilities by acquiring land from the military and purchasing additional plots. They constructed dormitories and teacher accommodations and transferred the female students from the teacher training department, who had previously been studying alongside female students from Chachoengsao province's Dadruni School, to this new location in 1940. The institution was then named 'Provincial Certificate Teacher Training School.' The university consists of five faculties: the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Management Science, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Science and Technology, and the Faculty of Industrial Technology.
