This temple is designed in the Tai Lue architectural style, with various signs in both Thai and Chinese, reflecting the interactions of the Tai Lue people who traveled back and forth between Thailand and the Twelve Hugeth District. It is believed to have been established during the early Rattanakosin period. The roof, fashioned with exquisite wooden scales, showcases the intricate Tai Lue artistry. The gable features beautifully carved figures of celestial beings and stunning patterns on the panels. The entrance staircase is designed in the shape of a Naga, while the side doors are guarded by paired lion statues. Inside the temple, the murals, crafted by local artisans, depict the everyday life of the Tai Lue community, including ordination ceremonies, merit-making activities, and Songkran festivities, showcasing rural life and various traditions. Additionally, there are flags (Tung) hanging, as a belief that they are dedicated to the deceased, serving as a pathway to heaven. The Tai Lue people, originally from the Twelve Hugeth District, have long-established relationships with the Lanna community, sharing similar cultures and languages.
