Within the station, a variety of vegetables and temperate plants are grown, including persimmons, nectarines, coffee, olive trees, lychee, passion fruit, strawberries, and avocados. Notably, there is an expansive macadamia nut plantation covering approximately 20 acres. This species thrives well in high-altitude areas, resulting in large trunks, dense foliage, and vibrant green leaves year-round, helping to prevent the mountains from becoming barren. According to academic research, macadamia nuts can only be cultivated in a few provinces. The coffee grown interspersed among the macadamia trees is part of an experimental project, leading to the production of freshly processed coffee with excellent flavor. Moreover, don't miss the chance to explore the variety of temperate flowers, such as orchids, caladiums, bromeliads, and anthuriums, as well as a medicinal herb garden that hosts a diverse collection of herbal plants. Travel Tip: The station is open for visits every day from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM. It is fully equipped with facilities and accommodations for visitors. Those interested in visiting should contact the station staff at least one week in advance and can reserve a tent for 250 baht, suitable for up to four people. If you choose to visit during the winter months, you will experience temperatures dropping to levels between 4-5 degrees Celsius.
