When we arrived in Phayao early in the morning, the first thing we learned about the local lifestyle was by visiting the morning market along Prathet Udon Uthit Road. There, we encountered an array of unique foods, fresh local vegetables, and various types of fish from Lake Phayao. The bustling shoppers reflected the daily lives of the locals, giving us a glimpse into how they eat and live. We made sure to try the local breakfast dish, Sai Oua, sold by a small family-run shop, served alongside steaming sticky rice. The flavors were truly delightful!
