This floating market is located not far from Bangkok and is filled with the essence of the ancient culture of the Thai-Yuan people. The reason behind this is that the community of Ban Tontan consists of Thai-Yuan descendants who migrated from Chiang Saen. As a result, the locals in this community continue to preserve and maintain various traditional customs. The ancient Ban Tontan floating market is therefore adorned and styled in the unique manner of the northern region of Thailand.
