Thai Yuan Cultural Hall

12 Soi Thammasat, Ton Tan Sub-district, Sao Hai District, Saraburi 18160, Thailand.

The Thai-Van Cultural Heritage Hall in Saraburi was inspired by Professor Songchai Wannakul's desire to preserve the cultural heritage of the Thai-Van ethnic group. He began collecting significant locations and artifacts, such as the residence of the governor of Saraburi, the house of Lieutenant Colonel Luang Job Krabuyuth, and the home of the infamous bandit, Klong, in Suphanburi. He also gathered ancient textiles and over 20 traditional boats used in the Pa Sak River and central regions. The professor envisioned this hall as a hub for local wisdom and a learning center focused on the culture of the Thai-Van ethnic group in Saraburi, a community of Lanna people who were forcibly relocated from Chiang Saen approximately 200 years ago.

Province: Saraburi
