Karom Waterfall

Moo 4 Khao Kaew, Lansaka.

Kahrom Waterfall is home to the headquarters of Khao Luang National Park. The source of the water comes from the Nakhon Si Thammarat mountain range, cascading down from the peak in a tiered formation. There are a total of 19 tiers, but only 7 are accessible for visitors: Durian Tier, Fig Tier, Bamboo Tier, Water Tier, Bee Tier, Pandan Tier, and Rooftop Tier. In 1907, King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) visited and enjoyed the views from the Rooftop Tier. Later, in 1917, King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) traveled to the southern provinces and also visited this spot, where he engraved his initials, ว.ป.ร 2460, on the cliff at the Rooftop Tier.
