Originally named Wat Pa (Khok Kham), this temple is located in Moo 2, Ban Kluai Sub-district, Mueang Chainat District. Wat Pa (Khok Kham) was officially established on April 24, 2006. Currently, Phra Athikarn Chookiat Khosathammoth is the abbot of the temple, and the revered Luang Por Yai is the temple's main Buddha image, renowned for its sacredness. An important ceremony to enshrine the relics of the Buddha took place on November 8, 2008. The ceremony was presided over by Pol. Gen. Kowit Watana, then Minister of the Interior, on the laity's side, while Luang Por Sophon Opaso, the abbot of Wat Bung Latthiwan in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, represented the monastic community. Wat Pa Chao Phraya boasts stunning scenery as it sits along the Chao Phraya River. The temple grounds are spacious and provide a serene atmosphere, complete with a platform for feeding fish. This makes it an ideal spot for tourists looking to engage in meditation, relax, or pay respects to Luang Por Yai.
