Wat Phra That Doi Chom Thong, also known as Wat Phra That Doi Thong, is one of the nine sacred stupas located in Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province. This ancient temple is considered one of the revered sites among the "Nine Choms," which hold auspicious significance for the province. Another important landmark within Wat Phra That Doi Chom Thong is the Ubasot, characterized by a contemporary design that marries Lanna art with Rattanakosin influences. It features common architectural elements such as the roof finials, decorative eaves, a gable front, and the lotus bud details on the columns. Inside, the temple houses a bronze Buddha statue in the Mara Vijaya posture, with the interior adorned by murals depicting stories from Buddhism, creating a serene and sacred atmosphere.
