Wat Phra Kaew in Chiang Rai is a must-visit temple for anyone traveling to the area. The temple grounds feature the Emerald Buddha, Phra Thanjai, Phra Khun Mangrai, and an antique museum. According to legend, this temple is where the Emerald Buddha (Phra Phuttha Maha Mani Rattanapatimakon) was discovered. It was later moved to various cities and is currently enshrined in the main hall of Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram in Bangkok. However, locals continue to refer to this temple as "Wat Phra Kaew."
