The Mae Yao - Mae Sai Forest Park, officially known as the Chiang Rai Forest Conservation and Development Office, is situated within the Doi Bo National Forest Reserve. This park is named after the stream that flows in front of the Forestry Industry Organization area. Construction began in 1988 when the land was handed over by Chiang Rai Timber Co., Ltd. Today, the area has been renovated according to the structure set by the Forestry Industry Organization in 2002 and is fully open to visitors. The park features steep, complex mountains with limited flat areas, providing a lush, elevated forest landscape. At night, you can hear the soothing sounds of crickets and flowing water. In the winter, the weather is cool and refreshing, thanks to the oxygen-rich air from the diverse trees, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers.
