This temple has a long-standing history dating back to ancient times and is also known by another name: Wat Chang Moob, which translates to "Crouching Elephant." This is the name commonly used by the people of Chiang Rai. Inside the temple, visitors will be captivated by the distinctive Lanna architectural style combined with influences from Myanmar. Among the significant features of the temple is the principal Buddha statue, a Chiang Saen-style Buddha figure that reflects the rich artistic heritage of the region.
