Khao Khlang Nok is a recently discovered archaeological site located within the historical park of Si Thep, in Phetchabun Province. The restoration was completed in 2012. This large religious structure was built during the Dvaravati period, around the 13th to 14th Buddhist century. It is believed to have originally been a major stupa, a large pagoda that one could ascend. Today, only the large square base remains, made of laterite, and it is relatively well-preserved. There are access paths on all four sides, and it stands approximately 5 meters tall. Its unique appearance has led some tourists to affectionately dub it the "Pyramid of Thailand," due to its resemblance to the Great Pyramid of Giza.
