Chachoengsao City Fortress

fort built since the reign of King Rama III to protect against enemy invasions. Later, in the reign of King Rama V, this fort was used as the location of the army to suppress the rebel triads. At present, the Fine Arts Department has registered it as a national historic site. And the area in front of the fort has been landscaped into a public park for recreation of Chachoengsao people. For the fort that is like the wall of this Chachoengsao city It is built with bricks and mortar. Oriented east to west, about 290 meters wide, 525 meters long, about 1 meter thick, 3 meters high. On the wall there are 5 cannons of different sizes. The length of the cylinder ranges from 224-325 centimeters and the muzzle width from 10-18 centimeters.
