The Ta Pa Daeng Shrine, also known as the Shrine of Phra Suea Mueang, is indeed a spirit shrine. It is a single prang constructed from laterite, showcasing Khmer architecture from the Angkor Wat period (circa 1650-1700 AD). The base walls are adorned with intricate lotus bud motifs, and the entrance features a staircase leading up to the shrine. In recent years, the Fine Arts Department has undertaken excavation and restoration work on this site, revealing fragments of stone deities in the Lopburi style and decorative divine female figures. These artifacts are now on display at the Ramkhamhaeng National Museum. This historical site is considered one of the oldest archaeological landmarks in Sukhothai.
