Ta Pha Daeng Shrine

Old Town, Sukhothai

Ta Pha Daeng Shrine or Phra Suea Mueang Shrine which is the Thepharak Shrine It is a single prang made of laterite, Khmer art in the Angkor Wat period (1650-1700 BC). The base wall is a lotus lotus. There is a staircase in front. Later, the Fine Arts Department excavated and restored this shrine and found pieces of Lop Buri rock art idols. and a goddess decorated with ornaments Currently on display at the Ramkhamhaeng National Museum. This archaeological site is considered the oldest archaeological site of Sukhothai.
